Community spirit shines at Jabiru Children's Christmas Party

15 January 2018

The Jabiru Community Christmas Party was held in December and turned out to be a fabulous day for all involved. From Santa’s spectacular arrival on the fire truck, to balloon twisted hats, to three massive inflatable; it was certainly fun for all.
This amazing community event simply couldn't happen without the help and support of some amazing people and business; Cooinda Lodge who cover the cost of all the T-shirts, ERA, Blueridge Engineering and KWAST who cover the cost of all the presents, Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel who cover the cost of the water slides, West Arnhem Regional Council who cover the cost of the venue and the pool staff, Morris Corp who donated the lunch, Aurora Kakadu Lodge who donated the watermelon, Jabiru Foodland who donated the 250 ice creams, lollies and 100 poppers, BP Jabiru who donated 576 poppers and waters and the amazing Barbara McArthur who created and donated the most gorgeous Christmas cake ever.

A huge shout out to Santa and his adorable helpers; what a fabulous job in ridiculously hot conditions, to the lifeguards and Bronzes who we can’t do without, Trish Whitaker, Andy Ralph, Learne Dunne and Suzy Payne for their amazing coordinated effort in getting as many kids to the pool (and home again) as possible, Noelee Mitchell for her brilliant microphone skills and her patience and to the amazing volunteers from Jabiru Fire Station who make the day special on so many levels. A huge thank you also to Ashley De Sair who has worked tirelessly on this event for many, many years.
