Whole-of-community participation in Minjilang music video

It was a big week in Minjilang last week with a visit from Wayne Glen of SoundED.
West Arnhem Regional Council’s (WARC) Youth, Sport and Recreation team and members of the community assisted Wayne to produce a music video, with great participation. 
It was wonderful to see everyone’s excitement to join in with many community members from the very young, youth, adults and elders singing and dancing with happy voices and smiles. The video footage was taken in many areas of the island with the final dance production happening out on country at Palm Bay. 
This was a great team effort and WARC will continue to support Wayne during the editing of the music video and assisting with correct culture, language and knowledge in the production of this music video.
It will be released at Minjilang’s NAIDOC Celebration Day.
West Arnhem Regional Council wish to thank many people including Traditional Owners for allowing this to happen.
