Our Services
West Arnhem Regional Council is committed to providing a range of local government services that improve the employment opportunities, health and wellbeing of its residents. The Regional Council is one of the largest employers in the region, with more than 230 employees.
West Arnhem Regional Council’s main focus is on the delivery of its core services. These include waste management, maintaining parks and gardens, and roads. As well as core services, the council delivers a range of community and commercial services.
Some of these services include:
- Jabiru Childcare Centre
- Jabiru Dog Registration and Dog Control
- Jabiru Public Library
- Youth, Sport & Recreation
- Community Safety
- Visitor Accommodation Services
- Community Care Services
- Creche and Out of Hours School Care
The provision of many of these services is determined through contractual agreements with either the funding provider, in the case of community services, or the respective agency for commercial services.
