Beautification Projects complete at Jabiru pool

06 December 2021

The Jabiru Public Pool has been completely transformed over the last 12 months with significant infrastructure upgrades carried out throughout the facility.
West Arnhem Regional Council (WARC) proudly rolled out the upgrades, made possible through the Jabiru Beautification Project, which supports Jabiru as it transitions into a tourism economy.
Funded by the Director of National Parks and Northern Territory Government, Jabiru’s Olympic-sized Pool facility was an identified as a key location to receive upgrades through the Jabiru Beautification Project.
With upgrades now complete, WARC invites community members and visitors to check out and enjoy the refreshed facility which include a variety of family-friendly recreational features such as a new barbecue, sheltered table and chairs, and sun-lounges.
For the young ones, the pool is now lucky enough to feature the newly-completed mushroom splash pad and additional play equipment including the new monorail.
Finally, one of the biggest features includes the 50 metre retractable shade structure which has come just in time to beat the heat.
