Candidates for Arafura by-election visit West Arnhem Regional Council

At its Council meeting on Wednesday 8 March 2023, West Arnhem Councillors hosted a number of important guests ahead of the upcoming seat of Arafura election. Council were firstly joined by Country Liberal Party (CLP) Leader Lia Finocchiaro and Arafura seat candidate Leslie Tungatalum ahead of their day out in Jabiru, followed by the Labor Party candidate Manuel Brown who was off to engage with electors in Minjilang. 
WARC Councillors spoke passionately about a number of issues faced by our communities, including the hot topic of telecommunications. Councillors also discussed other issues like voting enrolment and representation, the Gunbalanya clinic, education and community development. We wish all candidates luck and look forward to seeing this election result in a passionate advocate for the West Arnhem Region and Seat of Arafura.
