Celebrating local culture and heritage

10 June 2021

National Reconciliation Week, which wrapped up on Thursday, 3 June, is an important opportunity for all Australians to recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.
Here in West Arnhem, we live in a culturally significant region, encompassing Kakadu and West Arnhem communities and homelands, and more than two thirds of our population identify as Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
West Arnhem Regional Council wishes to thank everyone who took part in and supported the Reconciliation Week activities.
