Creating partnerships to build stronger communities

West Arnhem Regional Council (WARC) and the Warruwi School have demonstrated a great example of building good relationships in the small community.
The WARC works crew recently delivered some much-needed sand to the school’s sandpit which is now looking fresh and ready to be enjoyed by the young people of the island.
The sandpit has had a complete makeover and is already a big hit with the students jumping into play area as soon as the machinery left.
WARC Council Services Manager Steve Dawkins said, “This is one of many examples where community groups support each other for the improvement of the overall community.” 
The Council staff will continue to work closely with the school including the Night Patrol and Youth, Sport and Recreation teams.
