GREYHOUND AUSTRALIA SERVICE UPDATES

I wish to formally advise that Greyhound Australia will discontinue services GX816 and GX817 operating between Darwin and Jabiru as of 6 January 2020.

For the last 12 months Greyhound has tried a number of ways to make this route commercially viable, including but not limited to changing the service schedule, and offering numerous discounted fares. Unfortunately bookings remain poor with an average of only 5 passengers on each coach.

Greyhound empathises with passengers, local communities and businesses affected by this decision and it is not one made lightly. However, it is no longer viable to continue subsidising this route with such continued low fulfilment rates. 

Our Customer Service team will be in contact with all impacted customers providing full refunds for those booked for travel on or after 6 January 2020.
