Maningrida College making deadly choices

25 October 2018

Over 110 sessions of AFL, cricket, tennis, basketball and ‘Life Be In It’ were delivered to the students from preschool to senior class of Maningrida Community College in Week 9 of Term 3 this year.
Each session focused on developing skills, and some of which, were totally new to the students, as well as playing sport specific games.
Students were particularly engaged during the week as they enjoyed the fun associated with playing sport together in a team environment while learning new skills and being physically active at the
same time.
The students were well supported by representatives from AFL NT, NT Cricket, ‘Life Be In It’, NT Tennis and Basketball NT, as well as teachers and assistant teachers from the College.
The week was capped off with a swimming pool party with support provided by Maningrida Sport and Recreation, the RSAS Team, school teachers and the Malabam Health Team.
A special thanks to Jo Killmister from Maningrida College who coordinated a very successful Deadly Choices Sports Week!
