Maningrida senior students collaborating as a team

There was an incredible basketball competition between Maningrida College senior students on June 15 in the community. 
Senior students have been working hard to on their integrated learning assessment in which they were working to understand coaching and strategising within the sport of basketball. 
Part of the assessment was to be part of an event where students all collaborated as a team. With the support of their teachers Dan, Eilisha and Ed, the students undertook male and female games to showcase their learnings over the past few months. In the past week, the students have also presented to younger students about their experiences. 
A big thank you to the community members who participated in the games and assisting in umpiring. West Arnhem Regional Council’s Youth Sport and Recreation Officers have been working with the students over the past two terms to provide umpiring support twice per week. 
A big shout out to Nosha, Jaque and Adriel in particular for their hard work in this.
