Maningrida vaccination drive a huge success

10 September 2021

The vaccination clinic took place in Maningrida once again from the 6 to 9 September.
The vaccination hub was held at the Youth Centre for drop-ins as well as two teams providing outreach services on the ground; one focussing on anyone requiring their first or second dose and the other team focussing on the recently approved age group of 12 to 15 year old.
Over the past three days, a total of 362 vaccines were given to residents, taking the overall number of COVID-19 vaccines given in Maningrida to 2845.
What a fantastic effort.
Mala’la Health Service Manager Health & Community Services Lesley Woolf said, “The hard work of everyone involved prior to and during the vaccination clinics have played a vital role in the tremendous uptake of COVID-19 vaccines in Maningrida. The community can be very proud of this result.”
