Minjilang and Warruwi Creches collaborate

12 June 2020

West Arnhem Regional Council’s (WARC) Crèches in Warruwi and Minjilang have been working closely together, sharing daily activities and ideas and weaving together their professional knowledge and skills.
This is an opportunity for the staff at both Crèches to proudly boast their achievements and showcase the amazing work they are doing, whilst also continuing to learn off each other and gain new ideas and perspectives.
There has also been a collaboration between the Islands and outside agencies working together to incorporate sensory play (any activity that stimulates a child’s senses) and this type of play promotes children’s development.
Due to the current restrictions in place, other WARC staff in the communities have also been assisting, particularly in Warruwi, the Aged Care have been a huge help, coming in to help out when needed.
This is a great display of teamwork between the communities and departments.
