28 May 2018

Young people in Minjilang and Warruwi had an exciting visit from Corrugated Iron recently where they were able to learn through creative arts as part of a five day program run earlier this month.
The young people who took part in the program all had wonderful time learning from Corrugated Iron, which provides innovative and challenging performing arts experiences that express the diversity of young people living in the Northern Territory.
During the visit, the Warruwi and Minjilang Sport and Recreation Officers also had the opportunity to learn how to develop and deliver dance programs as well as circus skills workshops. The sport and recreation officers also said they thoroughly enjoyed working with the team from Corrugated Iron.
In Warruwi, there was a community barbecue to cap off a wonderful week and it also gave the young ones a chance to show off their dance routines and in Minjilang the young ones were able to be a part of two music videos where they could showcase their new skills.
