THE 2015 Jabiru Mixed Netball season is shaping up as one of the best yet. West Arnhem Regional Council Coordinator Youth, Sport and Recreation Ian Douglass says the competition this year is very even.

“The closeness of the comp was highlighted this week by Djidbidjidbi’s performance against three-time champions Kia Kaha,” Douglass said after Round 3. “Although the end result showed a comfortable win to Kia Kaha 21-14, the game was a lot closer than that, with only one goal separating the two teams at half time.”

He said the Djibidjibi kids were making an impression on the competition with their greatly improved skills.

“And just a friendly reminder that team registrations still need to be paid, as we have only received one to date, from Poroman.”

The $50 team registration (or $5 per player if you have more than 10 players) can be paid at the Council’s reception area at the Jabiru office.

“This goes back into buying resources for the competition and trophies at the end of the season,” Douglass said.

At the end of Round 4, Spotless are on top of the ladder with a ‘spotless’ record of 4 from 4, although Jabiru Area School are also undefeated after 3 games with a bye.
