Nominate for your Local Authority
Nominations for the Local Authorities in Minjilang, Warruwi, Gunbalanya and Maningrida are now open to all community members.
These Local Authorities are governed by West Arnhem Regional Council and report to the Council with recommendations; with consultation undertaken by local authority members and their communities.
Each Local Authority has between 6 to 7 members and this group of people will make sure that people in their community have a strong voice; make recommendations on behalf of the community and talk to the West Arnhem Regional Council about these issues.
Local Authority members will meet four times a year, for the next four years (a full Council term).
Everyone is encouraged to nominate. We would like a mix of men, women and young people to nominate.

Nominations are open from 28 September and close on 25 October.
