Sentimental stopover for 'Sapphires' star

Miranda Tapsell, one of the stars of the hit movie The Sapphires, turns on the charm while filming at Lake Jabiru on Saturday 22 February. Miranda, who grew up in Kakadu, where her father Tony was the Chief Executive at the Jabiru Town Council, also visited Nourlangie Rock and her old stomping ground at Jabiru Area School. The Sydney-based actress is being featured in a new documentary called Who We Are: Brave New Clan from CAAMA Productions. Directed by Leah Purcell and produced by Alice Taylor, the film tells the inspiring stories of six young Indigenous Australians from diverse backgrounds around the country.
