Yagbani Aboriginal Corporation Youth Engagement Program

04 October 2017

The Yagbani Aboriginal Corporation’s Youth Engagement Program has kicked off with several students from the Warruwi Community School taking on work experience recently.
Jaye, Dixion and Scotty were the first to start their work-experience program twice a week.
Although a touch nervous, they were quite excited to be kitted up in work uniforms and introduced to the CDP participants who they will be working and training with. Garden Crew supervisor, Albert Matpirri, also conducted a short OHS induction lesson at the Market Garden with the students recently.
Yagbani also intend to run fun workshops to engage youth, and offer career information, educational activities and cultural activities in the future. There are many more exciting things to come.
This project is also proudly supported by The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet Youth Engagement Strategy.
