GN_Gunbalanya school registration inspections Trainer Assessor Chrystal Burgher with students with Alexander, Richard and Riccardo undertaking a vehicle registration inspection at the Gunbalanya School Trade Training Centre.

High school students at Gunbalanya School are learning new skills as well as providing a great service to the community through the school’s work-ready program.
With the assistance of Trainer Assessor Chrystal Burgher, students in grades 8-12 are learning to perform vehicle registration inspections as part of the work-ready program run through the school’s trade training centre.
Chrystal said the program is a great learning experience for students, and teaches Australian design rules, vehicle safety and work-ready skills.
With an average of 2-3 inspections carried out each week, Chrystal said the program encourages people to visit the trade centre and provides another source of income which goes back into the school.
Chrystal added that the program, which has been running since June, is a great community service which helps to stop people driving unregistered vehicles.
Registration inspections are available every Wednesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the trade training centre for just $50.
Community members who require a vehicle registration inspection are encouraged to use the service and bookings can be made by calling 8979 0181.
