Children ’s Ground didn’t have school holidays … we ran the Kakadu School Holiday Program! With more than 50 kids attending each day, we operated a program that was educational, informative, fun, and free.

We learnt flour drum cooking with Kakadu Health Team, had pizza-making competitions, enjoyed a Yellow Water boat cruise, did boxing with Brendan, went to the Palmerston Waterslide, hosted the Y–Boys dance group from Galiwinku, had a disco, fishing, bush walks, swimming, lino art, and played Laser Tag in Darwin.

A big “thank you” to our holiday program partners ERA, Gagudju Lodge Cooinda, West Arnhem Regional Council, Kakadu Health Team, Djidbidjidbi College, Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation, and all the Bininj and Balanda people who assisted with the program.
