Weed management activities under way in Maningrida

Maningrida is currently in full weed management mode attacking Mission grass and other noxious weeds in the township before the wet season arrives. We have met with the local Rangers to coordinate our efforts around town. 
We are identifying Mission grass locations and then spraying the areas with a dyed chemical and on the following day our Works crews are cutting, gathering and burning the weeds on site. We are burning on site instead of transporting to the landfill to restrict potential weed spread.
