2017 Australia Day Awards open

Nominations for the West Arnhem Regional Council Australia Day Awards are now open for 2017.
The awards are for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (open to anyone under 30 years of age) and Community Event of the Year in Jabiru, Gunbalanya, Maningrida, Warruwi and Minjilang.
The Australia Day Awards are a great opportunity to recognise those who go above and beyond for their community, while the community event of the year award recognises and encourages the significant contribution local organisations/groups make to community life and promotes national pride and community responsibility.
The award winners will be announced during the Australia Day celebrations on Thursday, January 26 with a family fun day event held at Jabiru’s Alberto Luglietti Memorial Pool.
Nominations will close at 4.30pm on December 31, 2016.
Nomination forms are available by contacting your West Arnhem Regional Council office or the WARC website and can be returned to a council office or Post PO Box 721 Jabiru NT 0886 or email
