Big term for community sports in Jabiru

It’s been a big term for community sports in Jabiru with 6 teams registering for both the twilight netball and twilight touch football competitions  held recently.
The semi-finals of the netball competition had the 2019 winners ‘Non-Contact Time’ defeated by the ‘Bombers’ (pictured below). They were led to face ‘Not Happy Djenj’ which was a fantastic fast-paced grand final game under lights at the Jabiru courts. In the first half, each team set the speed and found their footing but by the second half, it was playing for keeps with the Bombers leading to win by only a few goals. Great work by all of the teams involved in the competition.
Meanwhile, the touch football grand final saw the ‘Benchwarmers’ finish with a perfect season. In the first half of the game, 2019 winners the ‘Cunning Stunts’ had them try for try but it’s hard to beat a team with long legs and youth on their side! 
The Benchwarmers took the 2020 Touch Grand final by a landslide – thank you to all involved in making the competition a great success.
