Gunbalanya Health Clinic prepare for a busy month

Gunbalanya Health Clinic held a healthy living bushtrip at the local pool where attendees prepared and cooked some beef tagine and sweet potato.

Gunbalanya Health Clinic have a busy schedule for the next month. They have new permanent staff and visiting specialists for Healthy Skin Week, an immunisation blitz and more upcoming events. They are wanting to keep the community strong by continuing health checks and want the community to let them know of any concerns with sick family.
The events to put on your calendar: November 14 and 15: ‘Immunisation catch up-Launch of Vaxigrant project’.
Come to the CFC building with your kids. There will be a jumping castle, Wildthingz animal show, prizes, good tucker and health stalls!
Personalised calendars are getting designed for parents to take home with a photo of their child and when their next immunisation is due.
A bi-monthly immunisation catch up at Child Family Centre (CFC) will be held starting from this month.
November 21-25: ‘Healthy skin week- Bo Bo Scabies!’ Let’s get rid of scabies in Gunbalanya. A health stall will be at the park all week.
Prizes for the best school kids scabies posters! Prizes for the cleanest yards, jumping castle, slippery slide and barbecue to help celebrate!
November 29: ‘Healthy living bush trips’ sponsored by Adjumarllarl. Bush trips- Locals attend a day event with visiting nutritionist or physiotherapist. Healthy meal cooked up and most trips involve fishing and healthy discussion in a relaxed environment. If you are interested please contact Nurse Leah at the clinic.
November 29 and 30: Physiotherapist and nutritionist visiting Gunbalanya Clinic.
December 5: Paediatrician visit which is the Paeds-Childrens Doctor for the year. If your child is to see the Paediatrician bring them in this day.
