HAVE you been to the Jabiru Public Library lately? Membership is free for permanent residents, with free internet, loans of up to 10 books, magazines, DVDs and CDs at a time, access to online research databases, plus free tutoring for all school-aged and university students.

Every Wednesday at 10.30am the library hosts free story reading for pre-school aged children. All parents and their children are welcome.

The library receives new editions of books CDs and DVDs every week.

Recent children’s books include: Pamela Allen The Big Fish; Tomie de Paola My First Christmas Carols; Jackie French and Bruce Whatley Cyclone; and DVDs Dance with Upsy Daisy in the Night Garden and Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot vs The Naughty Nightcrawlers from Neptune.

There are new issues of magazines including Money, Women’s Weekly, Australian House and Garden, Good Health and new adult fiction novels such as Stephen Leather New York Night and Traci Harding The Storyteller’s Muse.

Every second Saturday 9.30am – 12.30pm
