Jabiru Beautification Projects under way

13 January 2021

As part of the Jabiru Beautification Project, West Arnhem Regional Council (WARC) will deliver a number of projects over the next few months which will support local tourism and enhance the visitor experience as Jabiru transitions to a tourism economy.
One of the first minor projects under way is cleaning and repainting of the 11 former bus shelters situated around the residential areas of Jabiru, and this work has just wrapped up.
To add purpose to the shelters, WARC are looking at adding temporary advertising fixtures to the exterior walls of the shelters which can be changed throughout the year.
This could be to showcase murals and also spaces to promote festivities in the community such as Christmas, Easter and local events.
Also, keep an eye out for our new-look banners, which promote the Jabiru Beautification, situated at each project site around Jabiru.
WARC wish thank the Northern Territory Government and Director of National Parks for supporting the Jabiru beautification.
