Jabiru community netball competition wraps up for 2019

27 June 2019

In an epic showdown of skills, Non Contact Time were able to beat JAS and claim the championship title in the 2019 Jabiru mixed twilight netball competition.
After a season’s break, Jabiru twilight netball was back in 2019 running for the duration of the school term and came to an end this week with Jabiru Area School, Non Contact Time, Jabiru Bombers FC and Djibidjibi making the finals.
In a nail-biting semi-final, J.B.F.C went down to JAS meanwhile, playing one of their best games this season, Djibidjibi was defeated JAS.
This year’s competition involved seven teams and more than 100 community members taking part.
Thank you to all teams who participated and to those who organised with special thanks to umpires and volunteers.
Teams and supporters ended the night with a medal presentation and barbecue.
Everyone can now look forward to next term’s
social twilight rugby competition and social basketball training in the lead up to the 10th anniversary Kurrrung Sports Carnival on August 30 and 31.
