Jabiru residents as well as tourists to the region have been enjoying the new lane ropes recently installed at the Alberto Luglietti Memorial Pool.
The facility has had an influx of visitors throughout the dry season and the lane ropes are an added bonus for those who utilise the section of the pool.
Alberto Luglietti Memorial Pool Team Leader Barbara Murray said the new lane ropes are a great addition and the facility has never looked better.
“The lane ropes really livens it up and the swimmers can see the improvements,” Barbara said.
“We have received plenty of positive comments about the improvements.”
Barbara also added that the pool busy has been busy this dry season with many tourists going on day trips around Kakadu National Park and heading to the pool in the afternoons to cool off.
Barbara also said that the visitors have come from all around the world, including France, Germany, Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
The pool will also have extended opening hours from October to May.
The grant towards the purchase of the lane ropes, tensioners and storage reel was made possible through the NT Community Benefit Fund.
