07 August 2020

The Maningrida Health Centre has received a new ambulance to help provide healthcare to the community and homelands.
The new ambulance fit-out includes high quality beam torches, central locking, reverse camera, GPS tracking device and satellite phone installation.
Other improvements include upgraded internal and external lighting, improved external signage and improved storage capacity for emergency equipment
and the scoop stretcher.
Maningrida Primary Health Care Manager Kris McConnell-King was very happy with the ambulance and said,
“It is very easy to drive, reverse camera makes reversing much safer, the ambulance has many improved safety features, signage makes it easily visible around the community, and the Aboriginal workforce are very proud to drive the new ambulance.”
The contract was awarded to St John Ambulance NT for the fit out of NT Primary Health Care remote ambulances.
