Sharing the message of 'No More' violence

12 June 2019

NT Police, elders and community leaders, AFL coaches and teams, schools, West Arnhem Regional Council Youth, Sport and Recreation and Community Patrols are currently working to support the ‘No More’ violence reduction campaign in Arnhem Land.
In order to spread the campaign, there have been combined presentations, community consultation and engagement by Charlie King (Founder of the No More campaign), Mark Motlop and Police, and these have been well-supported by local residents in Maningrida and Ramingining recently.
The key message of ‘No More’ is an important one as AFL finals approach.
Remember football is a competition where one team comes first, another team comes second and without every team competing during the season, there would be no competition.
Every player and their family should be very proud, but also remember only one team comes first.
Spectators and supporters can set a good example for children also, by being respectful towards every team and player during and after the game.
