Take caution at South Alligator boat ramp

31 January 2017

Local anglers are urged to check tide times thoroughly before heading out in the boat from the South Alligator boat ramp.
A sandbank has recently shifted and has now formed directly in front of the boat ramp, which means boats cans only be launched safely at mid to high tide to avoid the risk of running aground.
Boaties are reminded to be very cautious around the boat ramp, particularly after dark.
They are also reminded to not get out of the boat if you do get stuck, and report dangerous crocodile behaviour to the Bowali Visitor Centre on 8938 1120.
