Warruwi Community Care gets into Christmas spirit

13 December 2016

Santa made a visit to the Warruwi Community Care Centre on December 7 for the Christmas Luncheon.

The Community Care Centre in Warruwi was alive and buzzing with excitement with staff preparing the centre for their Christmas Luncheon, which combined the aged care and disability, children’s crèche and out-of-school care groups on Wednesday, December 7.
This was a celebration for all to share as the centre is utilised by the three separate work groups, with staff catering all their clients.
With wonderful decorations, lights, tree and all the trimmings, the team prepared and cooked an amazing meal with planning and thought for the clients they were caring for.
A special highlight for the day was the local school children who performed three sets of dances for their captive audience and staff had spent time with the children ensuring their moves were perfect and that they were confident to do their dance performance.
There was also a big surprise for all the clients when Santa dropped into share in the celebration and he had a bag full of presents and was very jovial, doing special little dance moves as he handed them out.
It was a fantastic effort by all the wonderful staff at WARC Community Care Warruwi.
