Jabiru Childcare Centre is currently working with Warruwi Crèche to assist to transition the community facility into a registered service.
The partnership began in April when Jabiru Childcare Centre manager Alleisha Woodward visited the Warruwi Crèche and met with the team leader and staff.
Last week, both the Jabiru centre and Warruwi Crèche undertook an exchange of staff which saw Jabiru Group Leader Erin Murphy spend three days in Warruwi working alongside Crèche staff members Theresa and Caroline.
Meanwhile, Crèche Team Leader Tessa Palmer also visited Jabiru to work with the childcare team where she was able to gain valuable information and insight into the differences between both services.
Alleisha said the exchange has been very insightful for everyone to see how different services operate.
West Arnhem Regional Council Manager Community Services Natalie Bellew also said the exchange is a positive step forward for both facilities.
“It’s great to see Warruwi Crèche working hand in hand with Jabiru Childcare to ensure staff are sharing their knowledge and benefiting from each other’s expertise to provide high quality child care services to local kids and their families,” Natalie said.
“It’s a win-win.”
Both the teams at childcare and Crèche look forward to continuing to build this connection between the services and communities.
