West Arnhem Regional Council appoints new CEO

West Arnhem Regional Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Daniel Findley as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who commenced in the role on January 15, 2020.

Mr Findley comes to West Arnhem with significant experience in leadership and strategic development to drive growth and create change in the communities he serves.

With an extensive history of working with not-for-profit and community-based organisations, Mr Findley understands the importance of delivering high quality services to diverse communities such as those in the West Arnhem region.

For more than 25 years, he has been serving communities, leading organisations and delivering programs for diverse populations, including the ageing, at-risk youth, employment services and people with disabilities.

Most recently, Mr Findley served as CEO at Masonic Care Tasmania where he was instrumental in merging multiple organisations to strengthen governance and front-line programs while delivering high quality aged and health care services.

With a commitment to putting the needs of each community first, Mr Findley said he looks forward to returning to the Northern Territory working with Elected Members, Local Authorities, stakeholders and constituents to create positive change across West Arnhem. 

“I am really excited to be returning to the Northern Territory.  West Arnhem is an incredibly unique region and I look forward to working with Council and alongside the staff to bring new opportunities and further develop services within the communities,” he said.

With his expertise in leadership and passion for communities he serves, Deputy Mayor Anna Egerton said the Council is excited to have Mr Findley come on board as CEO.

“Elected Members welcome Daniel and we look forward to working alongside him as we continue to advocate for our people and build an even stronger region,” Deputy Mayor Egerton said.
