DANIEL Wilson and Justin Cooper from West Arnhem College Jabiru are getting a taste of the big time, playing for Katherine Big River Hawks in the NTFL Under-18 competition. FOR Amanda Henderson, taking up a position as chef at the Jabiru Golf Club is something of a homecoming. Amanda first came to Jabiru at the age of three, growing up here before leaving in 1998 to pursue her career as a chef. Back then, Amanda’s surname was Dunstan – a well-known family name in Jabiru, particularly at the Golf Club.Read more

Severe Tropical Cyclone Lam has left a trail of destruction across Arnhem Land after crossing the coast as a Category 4 at Ramingining, 80km east of Maningrida, around 2am Friday 20 February. West Arnhem communities escaped its full force, with the Warruwi community at Goulburn Island evacuated as a precautionary measure.Read more
