Jabiru participates in pre-cyclone clean up

West Arnhem Regional Council (WARC) held a community pre-cyclone clean up event earlier this week in Jabiru.
The annual event gives Jabiru residents the opportunity to clear any unwanted items from around the house and yard prior to storm season.
WARC Relief Council Service Manager Mark Sidey said it was great to see so many residents participating in the clean up.
“This ensures our community is as prepared as we can be,” Mark said.
All West Arnhem residents are encouraged to protect their family, home and possessions by preparing for cyclones, and this includes having an emergency plan and an emergency kit.
The Top End of the Northern Territory is prone to cyclones from November to May.
