Gunbalanya used car painting competition

The Gunbalanya Youth, Sport and Recreation team put on a special car painting competition for the youth during the school holidays.
The unique project was an idea from the youth themselves who wanted to bring colour and humour to the community, by painting designs on the broken down cars around town. The competition was followed by a barbecue so everyone could see the designs.
This is now the beginning of a bigger car painting competition to happen in a few weeks' time with prizes on offer!
Inspiration for the painting ideas came from everywhere, including crocodiles, cows and more.
The cars are now located and on display at the recreation hall across from the clinic.
